Just an FYI for all interested in the BD kit for a 2016-Newer

In order to keep your battery from being drained, you must keep the factory kill switch installed.  Removing the factory kill switch on a 2016 or newer will cause a drain on the battery even with the Baja Designs key switch plugged in with the key off.  So the key switch ends up only working to turn the light kit on and off and DOES NOT prevent the bike from being started whatsoever.

BTW this was not the case with my 2013 WR450F and the instructions that come with the kit do not address this issue.  Not sure if Baja Designs is really aware of this or not even though I made them aware of it.

Those of you with 2016-newer bikes may realize that the kill switch is not the same as the 2015-older models and has functions such as killing the motor only while leaving the electrics on for 60 sec upon pressing it once.  Holding the kill switch down for 2 sec will then shut off all electrics.  Again this was not the case with the 2015-older models.

Just trying to prevent someone else from having a surprise dead battery.

Other than that, the kit is good.  Typical Baja Designs quality.

Bailey, thanks for the excellent customer service on hooking MXJunky up with a kit for his '15 WR450.  The installation went flawlessly and MXJ's blue sickle is now ready for licensing!
