Curb weight 261. 450X curb weight 269. RX fuel tank 2.2 vs 1.9 on the X. If my math is right it weights 6 lbs less than the old X.

It weighs exactly the same as a 500EXC....which holds more gas and has EPA/DOT crap.

 

It's 15.9lbs heavier than a 450XC-F.

 

....but it will last 500 hours, not 200, and it will survive a high-speed get-off, and has real suspension.  All worth the 'weight'.

Its pretty obvious that Honda is reacting to Yamaha and not KTM. Its one pound lighter then the Yamaha.

Same as today's 2015-2016 R bikes. There's a "stock" map and 2 others pre-programmed (usually a "soft" and a "race) that can be re-programmed to whatever you like. Assuming the camshaft is the same, my bet is the stock map on the RX is slightly less aggressive than the R map, with fueling and ignition changes. Right-side button. Yes but the RX is not the same as the 450X. It's a new model not meant to replace the 450X.

My 09 is kicking ass, so no need to upgrade. Beside Honda will need to iron out all the bugs when the RX come to mass market. Give them a couple of years and they'll have it all figured out
