Trying to install a cylinder works big bore kit for my 450, cylinder and piston are for a YZ450 but the package the rings came in said they were for a CRF450R. There are only 4 rings (top and oil rings) however every service manual and my old piston shows there should be 5 rings.

I contacted cylinder works and they assured me their pistons only use those 4 rings and not 5 like the OEM piston.

Does this seem right to anyone?

Yep, especially if that's what they say. Some gytr pistons are 4 rings as well.

Top ring is a compression ring.
Bottom ring is a three piece oil ring.
Put it together and ride.
