They are both good products.  My preference is DRD.

If fmf was an option would the preference still be drd ?

On a value basis, yes.  The FMF costs upward of 150% of the price of the DRD stainless (with a removable spark arrestor), and offers no real advantage other than a few ounces of weight.

My full system Dr D. on my 09 made the oil filter cover and bolts hard to remove. It also interferes with my emperor racing skid plate. Runs great though.
