'16 YZ450FX- no kill from kill button

Pulled the button apart to inspect, and it is the most overly complicated button I have ever seen.... but everything seems fine.

 

The two wire leads by themselves do not kill the motor either.

There are two wires, each with brass fittings.

Touching them to each other or the bars do not kill the motor.

 

The tank was recently removed, but no harnesses were relocated or messed with.

 

I don't get it...

Maybe the wires got pulled out from the harness.

Yes.

It was in the harness plug, but not snapped in place.
