Lurked here for over a month reading old threads.. now we can't believe everything we read on the Internet and take such at face value.. but I came across many that claimed Eddie Sisneros had burned them, what I find fitting is his old screen name was "Burned" before he gained recognition and changed it to Eddie Sisneros. my understanding is he is associated with MRD, now I'm not sure if he gains anything from sales or what,but I was considering MRD for a pipe when the time comes but if it's true that he's burned so many and he is receiving a kick back of sorts from sales I want to nip this in the bud and take my business elsewhere..

Can anyone chime in and enlighten those enquiring minds?? All the posts I have found are several years old and would like to shed some new light for those in the know...

What say you??

He and Dave worked together on the development of the SSW MRD. I don't think he's still involved with Dave and the company, or least that's what I've read......maybe a silent partner type thing that, like a divorce, would be costly to terminate....don't know for sure. If you truly want to know, call Dave at MRD and ask him. He's a honest guy and a true craftsman.....I'm sure he'll be out front with you.

 

ps.....never knew that about his screen name before......hahahaha, telling to say the least

When the pipe originally came out it was called the MRD/SSW due to the collaboration between Eddie and Dave while developing a pipe with equal power to the Yosh Ti pipe which was discontinued for a period of time.  After Eddie had his problems the name of the pipe was changed to MRD/z-pro.  As far as I know (which admittedly isn't much) there is no financial connection between the two.

MRD Racing has been buildling custom race exhaust systems for many years. I think M.R.D. stands for Mechanical Research and Development. Eddie got together with Dave and MRD made a pipe to Eddie S. spec. It was dyno'd and tweeked until the SSW labeled version was settled on. Once developed MRD had the specs and ability to reproduce them and word got out and the SSW was proven to be a great exhaust that could handle engine displacement mods. Works great on unmodded engines as well. During a lot of the controversy over Eddie's business practices in one thread I mentioned that I wondered if MRD and RHC knew of the bad will/press associated to their products. Shortly after that post Ron Hamp chimed in that Eddie was not and had not been purchasing his cams and then Dave at MRD chimed in. Dave changed the exhaust name to Z-Pro. And the rest is history...a distancing so to speak away from Eddie's descent into a stay away from status here.

The mods on tt all went to their names at some point.

 

I don't know what happened with eddie sisneros, but I can say that I learned a hell of a lot from his postings on this forum. My dealings with him always worked out well, and I am grateful to him and all the other people that made/make this forum the great resource that it is. 

 

One of the main reasons I bought my drz was because of the great support available here.

Wow, some people... I too agree he "was" a great contributor but it's obvious to me that what he's been accused of doing over the years holds weight.. he's a scam artists and the guy having his motor done isn't very bright or is simply naive.. either way character speaks volumes, good to know MRD distanced themselves from the theif, now I can do business with them and have clear conscious..

In my opinion he was a cut and paste kinda guy. Some of his info was useful, some was stuff I'd never do to any engine. :naughty:

Mr. Eddie Sisneros is a talented mechanic. Sometimes even did things right. I guess he got overwhelmed with business generated here by DR-Z drones. The Epic failure of hooking up with Epic Motor Sports. Somewhere along the way both entities majorly screwed up. There is probably a half a dozen or more members here that is owed something by Eddie. Whole engines, heads among other things. Never made it right so that is why most here will not do business with him. There are some people that have and are still sending him work. Unknown how that is working out for them. No one really comes here and reports on the recent work. All I can say is 'Caveat Emptor"... buyer beware. The decision is up to you. Shoot even Eric Marquez isn't here much anymore. I know lots have hit him up to do their engines. Maybe he is busy working and tired of the forum repetitive BS. Only so many times you can answer jetting and oil and tire questions...LOL! Oh and what is this thing on my bike??? Can you tell me????
