2006 crf250r super hard to start hot

2006 crf250r amazing too ride just cant start the damn thing hot. anyone have any ideas?! just cleaned carb, adjusted and shimmed valves, and new spark plug. Please help! i dont want to sell her!! btw starts first few kicks cold, when hot it wont untill i let it cool off again. thanks

It could be too rich, turn in the air fuel screw a half a turn or try messing with it but check where it's set first, like one and a half turns out. Were your valve clearances zeroed out and needed shimmed?

Might be obvious but are you using the hot start without giving it gas?

 

Other options, have you looked at the carb vent tubes or even the gas vent hose?

 

If you want to easily adjust the air fuel screw I put on in an after market one you can adjust with your fingers and have it a 1-3/4" turns.for all out side temps and from 0 to 6000ft elevation. I never have to play with this.

 

IMO, if there is an issue with the valves (which the OP seams to have adjust) there would be a cold start issue but that's just IMO
