2014-2016 YZ450f Flywheel Weight Manufactures

After searching around in here I had been reading about how good the welded flywheel weight was from Debauch Racing. So I emailed them and asked if they are still doing flywheels, since they aren't advertised on their web page anymore.  Unfortunately they have discontinued them.  So my question is, are there any other manufactures besides Steahly, and the 4.4oz GYTR?  Not sure about the glued weight, and I would also like to be able to see the TDC marks.  It sounds like that is not possible with the Steahly weights.

I have a 16 450 and I ordered a Steahly, well I sent my wheel to them and they sent it back with the weight on it. So I get it back and putting it on and the weight was rubbing the case on the motor side. Needless to say sent it back, gave me money for weight and money for s new wheel. I bought the gytr and love what it has done to my bike.

Do not be fooled into thinking that the 4.4 ounces added to the GYT-R weight is too small to be effective.  Weight placement from the center has a lot to do with how effective the additional weight is, and because of the considerably larger diameter of the rotor for the EFI bikes, the 4.4 ounces adds more inertia mass to the EFI flywheel than 9 ounces does on the flywheel for the carbed bikes did.

+1... I had a 9 oz on my 08' and currently have the 4.4 oz on my 14'. The 4.4 oz is every bit as effective.

Thanks for the replies. I ride in some fun riding spots, but sometimes it includes switch backs going up hill. I think a little more rotating mass will help when I mess up the clutch timing. I just came off a KTM 380 that seemed to just grunt and XR's before that. I have some getting used to with this bike, but I can feel that I have made the right choice, just a matter of me catching up.

I put a Gytr on my 14 yz 450 and it helps, but will not eliminate flame outs if you are in the wrong gear coming into a corner. Better clutch skills or a rekluse will help with that. They accomplish the same as the steahly and are much easier to install and remove if necessary. Worth the extra money IMHO.

You guys might look into the FX flywheel as well.

Doesn't look like it would work. At least that is what Motorcycle-Superstore and RMATV are telling me. Maybe too shallow of a case/cover? It's a shame to, cause the 9.21 oz is almost half the cost of the 4.4 oz flywheel weight.

The 9.21 is for the Gen2 450, not your Gen4.  The price is probably fair since it's only half as big, and nowhere near as heavy as your stock one.

 

See and that is what google gets me.  Took me to the 9.21 oz flywheel weight, and when I searched it as the 450fx, turns out that wasn't the right flywheel weight for that either...My Bad.

Now that you mention it I remember reading that the side cover was widened slightly on the FX to accomodate the larger flywheel.
