Cleaning electric dirtbike?

Recommended Posts

I'm looking to upgrade my Razor MX650, some of these upgrades include upgrading the motor and controller to increase the speed from only 15mph to 30mph and raising the suspension. But before i do, i'm going to need to clean up my bike. When working with my Gas bikes or Mountain bikes, i generally know what not to get wet, but when it comes to electric bikes, i'm clueless. I'll upload some pictures, but i'm thinking of hosing down everything except for the battery compartment and motor, so what places would i need to avoid getting wet? Thanks.IMG_0524.JPGIMG_0526.JPGIMG_0525.JPG

I going to have a guess and say that the battery compartment and batteries would be water proof

I would just remove the motor and clean everything as per normal and just wipe motor down with damp rag and then reinstall .

This guy knew a little bit. And I'd have to agree with him. Oh and the only other thing I can think of that wouldn't be water proof would be the controller. But that could be water proof too idk.
