Welcome to the Flathead, .   I don't get up to the Flathead Valley very often, at least to ride, (we do some shopping there), but the Flathead Reservation has a bunch of abandoned logging roads that are very fun to ride on. It's easy to get a bit lost for a while,

This season I have seen six bears while riding on the reservation.  Three were big adults and three were very small cubs without a mother in sight.  A reservation permit is required for "recreating" on tribal lands but it is well worth the money to ride all day seeing a lot of wildlife and seldom seeing any other vehicles. 

Below is a photo of a Black Bear that I was able to snap a photo of while cruising about on the res.
