G'Day,
Has anyone tried a K&N air filter in their WR's?
If so have you had/heard of any problems. A few of my mates and I have had trouble with some foam elements tearing easily and not lasting.

Avoid K&N pleated cotton gauze filters as they are not nearly as good as foam filters for stopping fine dust particles. They will last if taken care of appropriately. Don't use gasoline or Varsol to clean them and don't wring them out.

I have the K&N in mine and have had no problems. But as mentioned you have to maintane them correctly. Use the cleaner kits that are available.

I can get the part number for you tomorrow. If I forget to get it to you PM me. I just looked at your signature. The part# will be different. As of 5 months ago K&N did not have a filter available for the 04 models yet. I would imagine they do now but am not sure.
