I live in Brownsville/Sweet Home area. If you ever come over this way to ride at Shedd, Shotgun Cr or Rock Hill PM me and I'll see if I'm available for you to take a spin on the FX.

The only people whining about how heavy the bike is are those that don't own and ride it.  I can honestly say I don't notice the weight at all, either pushing the bike into and out of the shop or riding it.

Agree with cowboy 100%, I wanted to test these bikes WR and FX because I needed to know if the new centralization did what they said it would! Never mind the scale, these bikes handle! No top heavy feel and if you had to throw out a number just based on riding one, it would be much lower than any scale says!

My '09 450F(X) with kickstand, 18' rear wheel, barkbusters, hvy dty rad guards, steering damper, skid plate, catch tank, O-ring chain weighs 252 lbs with full tank. I imagine that if I set the FX up the same, it would be well over 270 lbs.  It better hide it's weight real good to be worth the extra coin for e-start.

OK, sounds good. We are going to China hat memorial weekend, shouldn't be dusty. (there was a time I didn't have to eat dust)

Again, either rolling the bike around the house or riding it the weight is not noticeable at all.  I can't honestly say it feels any heavier in any situation than my 06 YZ 450F, my 12 KX 450F, or my 98 CR500.

That's good to hear. The only thing that ever temps me to look at KTM or husky is the weight on paper. I sometimes consider that maybe a 300 would be good for me and then I ride one and immediately get slapped back to reality.....Yamaha 4 stroke!!
