Yamaha's suggested maps for the 2016 WR450F, might be a good starting point for someone.

Nice, thank you for posting. My dealer did the whole competition kit thing as well as putting on the fmf 4.1 slip on, then tuned it for me. It seems to run great but I'm tempted to get a tuner to see what settings I'm at and try some new just to make sure it's the best for my riding.

I just bought a 2016 Yamaha WR450 and I would really like to get a set of plastic body parts that are black. I've looked around the Internet with no luck and have come to the conclusion that no one is making black 2016 plastic body parts yet.

I thought about painting my plastic parts but I've had limited success with paints like Krylon Fusion, and I would like to keep my plastic parts new if possible so I could put them back on if I sell the bike.

The other thing I've considered is buying a plastic part set for a different year and modifying it to fit. I wouldn't mind doing that because I enjoy DIY stuff, but I don't have enough knowledge to know what part set might come close to working. It would even be okay if most of the parts would fit and I could paint a couple of my parts black to complete the set.

I've only been a member of Thumper Talk for a short time but in that short time I have learned that there is more knowledge here than in several other places put together, so if there is a solution to my problem I'm sure it will be found right here. So if anyone has any ideas I will appreciate your thoughts.

PS.  I hope I posted this in the right place.

Acerbis makes a better intake/shroud system for the '16.

The IMS 2.9 tank does not relocate anything.

Regarding the gytr muffler insert, if you have some welding experiance or know somebody who has. It´s quite easy to reuse the stock insert and fit a larger diameter steel tube. Just cut away the tube from the "plate" and drill a 30mm hole in it. Weld a new larger tube to the plate, 30mm is the largest that fits and a bit larger than the gytr insert I think. So that way you get a better insert, and also cheaper if you got the tools.

Excellent job of putting a 2.9 gallon Acerbis tank made for the YZ in a 2016 WR 450. No bogus radiator shroud gas tank.

I will be trying one on as well. Hopefully the smaller lithium replacement batteries will fit on top of the back section of the tank.

The standard lithium ones you generally see won't like the SSB ones etc.... Need to use a superb battery or something like that.

Ha I'm right there. The Shorai is a little too big. A smaller battery would be better or I might have to melt the seat to make it fit.
It looks like I can get the wiring and relays in-between the fender and back bar to the seat.

Another thing I looked at that does work but I changed my mind is behind the bash plate at the front of the bike the SSB fits or Shorai is the same as the as the SSB so should fit I run the high GYTR seat so could probably make it work cutting it into the seat of you wanted.

No it looks like you found a very nice thin battery. http://www.super-b.c...//sb12v3200e-ac

I hope I can get one or a similar one in the USA.

This one is a 6 amp hour I wonder if it would work. http://www.revzilla....CFQ6oaQodtNkELQ

Edit: I think this one has about the same power as stock and will work fine.
