raising seat height stiffening suspension on crf150

Recommended Posts

I used CR80 forks(whole front end) and rear shock. It will give that extra 2.5" you might want plus a much better ride. You need 1997+ used CR80/85 to work. You can either buy just what you need on e-bay or buy a whole bike and sell off what you don't. BBR and DMC use this on thier $7500-$11500 full race minis for adult riders. As your son gets bigger you can then get heavier springs and valving on this setup as needed for his weight and riding style. He may want to keep this bike a long time. ?

Any idea if the forks/tripple clamp off a '89 CR80 will bolt up to a CRF150? Tried looking for bearings on dennis kirk to see if part no.'s matched, but nothing for these models. Don't care that they are not inverted.

Thanks for the info if you have any!

I called PRC several months ago because I wanted to raise the seat on my son's 230. They told me it would also fit the 230. I choose to not get it because my son wants a softer seat since we do mostly recreational trail riding and his butt gets pretty sore after a long ride. This seat is stiffer than stock.

You might want to give them a call and double check.
