I'm looking to get my YZ400F street worthy. The purpose of this bike will be in town riding and community and light trail riding. Maybe supermoto trim down the line somewhere.
I'm making this post so hopefully someone can verify my plan will work and I won't spend a bunch of money build a system that blows up or burns out an expensive stator.
First i'm going to need a plate. SD plate registration forms in the mail, Check.
Next lighting setup. My Ideal setup would be a nice higher watt led spot and a lower watt fog light. I would prefer to run both at the same time but I don't have to go that route. Also this system won't have a battery because I don't want the extra weight nor do I want to depend on a battery for my lights.
There are a few options for stators, get a wr stator off ebay, buy a new wr stator, or go with a 35w Rickystator. RS does sell a 100w yz426 stator and fly wheel which is a stock wr426 setup but I don't know if the extra wattage will be worth the extra $300.

From my understanding the regulator only regulates the voltage and the regulator rectifier regulates the voltage and converts AC to DC power for a battery. I don't think I'd need a regulator rectifier if I'm running a system w/o a battery.
My orginal option was to go with a 7" 36w LED light (http://www.amazon.co...3WCACULQ8&psc=1) and cut out 2 leds to have enough wattage for the taillight.
Now I'm thinking if i went with a pair pf 10w led (http://www.amazon.co...6351fadae902a8f), ran both in my shroud and then a 30w spot (http://www.amazon.co...ds=cree 40w led) just in front of the handle bars.
The low and high leds wouldn't be running at the same time because of the limited power.
Taillight and turn signals
I found a nice tail light and plate bracket with plate light and built in turn signals for cheap and consumes 3w of power. (http://www.amazon.co...=I3QWBDXBOH1SEZ)
then I'm thinking about running 2w led strips on the forks for front signals with a flasher relay. (http://www.amazon.co...ke turn signals)
for the headlights and turn signals I was just going to use a generic switch and I'll see how long that last. I'm more concerned with brake light switch, I want to use a rear banjo bolt hydro switch for front and rear brakes if I can, if not at least the rear. But I don't know the thread on the banjo bolts. Do they come all the same? I know I may have some clearance issue on the front because of my bark busters if it works at all.

I'm thinking I should at least run fuses for the head lights but shouldn't need any for the other lights.
