I just installed the james dean kit in my bike. The instructions said to put the clip on the blue needle in the third position. I installed the 170mj. My friend installed the same kit and his instructions said blue needle fourth position. My bike runs fine, I was just wondering why the difference in the instructions. Thanks

The difference is your instructions say to use the 3rd and your friends say to put it in the 4th :) Sorry I couldn't resist.

I would email James Dean and see, he's on the board a lot.

If your above 1000 feet or 60 degree's start with 3. Clip 4 is very rich on the bottom (may bog) good luck :)

Red #5 for 60 degrees works better than blue #3 good at 700 feet elevation. :)
