2016 YZ450FX questions

Recommended Posts

That is a Dr.D ns-4 slip on.. The rear fender is different between the FX and F. The FX rear has mounting tabs for the battery. Acerbis just released their version of the rear fender for the FX, which is cheaper than oem. The shroud length between my FX and F shrouds are exactly the same. However, I did notice when I saw the 450fx at the shop a few days ago that their shrouds where contoured a touch different than my 15' shrouds on the front edge that lines the radiator. Not enough though to make me think they wouldn't be interchangeable with the F. Maybe it's just 16' to 15' difference. Not sure

Better pic of the pipe. And yes, she is nicely tucked away!

Okay I have decided...Can you do a video clip or a sound clip of that pipe?

I'm going to copy your setup pretty soon I think. Bike, pipe, clutch, wheels and all. That is sweet. The one, single thing holding me back is I don't need it. But I sure do want it! Awesome bike that no doubt exceeds any capabilities I will ever have.

I'm all about keeping a bike clean looking with simple mods rather than going crazy with graphics and colors. I didn't need black wheels but just couldn't resist for the price. And IMO they look so much better than silver. However they do scratch so have a black touch up paint pen handy ?. Also for the price, dr d pipes are great, and I love how tucked it is behind the plastic. The Rekluse is a tough price to grasp but once you have it, man you will love it. Edited by NW_drZ

Legit I can't get over how tucked it is. I was leaning towards FMF 4.1 but it sticks out which is okay because you can see the carbon end cap aahaha.

But I like that the DRD is TUCKED, and I mean tucked. Like after market 2ST tucked.

Sounds good! Interesting note. I was over in the YZ450F pics thread. Some guys have the DRD pipe but it sticks out way more on those bikes??? You must have lucked out or something. Thanks for the video. I may have to copy your set up.
