Are these really as stiff as the racetech calculator is telling me?

Im 100 kgs give or take, and usually need to go up spring rates on any bike I buy.   However on the racetech calculator, its telling me to drop a few spring rates form stock.

 

Does this sound correct?  Seems a bit hard to believe.

The springs in the 2013 are very stiff , I'm 125 pounds so I needed really soft springs when I bought mine

now way. So your 220lbs????? Yes you need stiffer. Think of like this. If stock is 170lb to 180lb. For every 10lbs you go up or down. You need to go to the next stiffer or lighter spring. Whatever that maybe

Couple things to keep in mind, not all fork springs are created or tested in the same way, and Race tech's spring rates are made to work with their valving, which will be more plush than stock. 

 

  Race tech does a great business, I would trust their recommendations 100%. 

 

  Also this was made as an MX bike, so if you pick trail riding or something other than MX on the race tech spring selector that would effect it as well.
