Well I leave for bootcamp in the summer & I'll be working a lot even before then & I don't want my bike to sit around & it's not that I need the money but that I won't be able to ride for at least a couple years, so I'm thinking of considering selling my bike at some point but not sure of a price it's a 2005 yz450f completely redone top & bottom end with approximately 10-12 hours on both. Honestly not a single thing wrong with it. Always ran 93 in it, oil changed frequently & new sprockets/chain/tuned kyb forks for 160 lbs rider/new seat/new gytr plastics kit & it has hot cams/ almost new tires/pro taper grips/handelbars. New footpegs aftermarket head & side cover to look sexy asf & match the plastics. The things a beast just not sure of what to ask for it if I do decide to sell. there's probably some stuff on the bike that's new that I forgot to mention lol OH IT ALSO HAS AS YOU CAN PROBABLY TELL a yoshimura full exhaust & yoshimura header !!!ImageUploadedByThumper Talk1452978858.407631.jpg ImageUploadedByThumper Talk1452978925.612440.jpg

Probably not in SoCal.  It would be more like $1500.  I doubt it would be too much more than that in PA, but I'm not there

Unfortunately because of the bikes age it's not worth the love you put into it... As mentioned $15-2000ish .
Although It's still a awesome bike and if you still love it I would recommend storing it at family or friends house until your back. Otherwise be prepared to take a little hit if selling. Good luck thanks for your future service!

She's pretty though. Like the valve and clutch cover

Another option is do a craigslook (regional craigslook of sorts) search, but I'm leaning toward what others have said, around 1750-2000.

How much do you think what you paid for it will bear on what you get for it?

I live in PA and that's a $2000 bike, you can ask for more because it's been rebuilt and the majority of craigslist bikes arnt. I'd ask $2300 for it and take $2000
I'm in harrisburg pa
I recently sold a 2002 yz250f for $2200
A 2005 yz250 bored to 265cc's for $2500
A 2004 yz450 for $2100

I bought my 2006 yz450 for 2200
All the bikes were just rebuilt and excellent condition
And most importantly thanks for your service

Why a couple of years? After your MOS school you can take leave. Despite what your recruiter said, you can take leave. After 3 months of boot camp I was ecstatic to come home and ride. I would hang on to it until you get to your first duty station.
