Hey guys I'm trying to get my flywheel off my 2014 yz450. First I can't get the fly wheel to come off I think I put the inner protection cap on to far.

So I am trying to get the tool off and now that is stuck? Maybe I put to much force trying to pull the flywheel. How am I supposed to get this darn thing off?ImageUploadedByThumper Talk1450306588.704503.jpg

You need to leave some room between the piece that threads onto the crank end and the flywheel so the puller can actually do it's job.  If the piece that threads onto the flywheel is stuck and won't come off, perhaps you cross threaded it?  It shouldn't be wedged on there.  Now if you hanked on it pretty hard with the other piece seated against the flywheel, you may have just jammed it against the flywheel.  See if you can devise another way to hold the flywheel (hint... rope in the cylinder through the plug hole) to get that piece loosened up.

Thanx for the reply I just got them both off. Unfortunately threads now a little messed up but should be useable.ImageUploadedByThumper Talk1450307843.152052.jpg

Normal.  It's from beburring the case castings at the factory.
