Anyone have the oil capacity and weight for the 2000 xr650 shock. Any tips on changing the oil would be appreciated also. Thanks

Service manual will have the info. Its probably 5wt shock oil(a hunch). Capacity is probably around 3/4 of a quart.

Once you refill the oil you need to make sure and bleed all the air from the shock, then it needs to be charged with nitrogen.

I used Silkoline 5wt in mine with good results. The service manual has a good explination of how to do everything. One of the RaceTech 19mm sockets for the compression adjuster would have been nice, but an open end wrench will do (it just left some tool marks on the Aluminum).
