End of Season update

Recommended Posts

Well ended my racing season with a huge crash during last Endurance Race of year, blew out R knee, artificial knee, pretty sure as is VA I 'broke' it. Waiting on VA specialist ortho apt, been down for 3 weeks. Still can not walk without crutches and or walker, and very limited range, leg swells considerably, just waiting. Of course no damage to the 250X, guy behind me said I hooked a rut in turn, foot got stuck, bike spun, I went down hard, remember nothing, VA did CAT Scan as I was 'out'.

Other news, before the crash bought a Can-Am RS-S and modded it up with forward foot pedals, on handle bar brakes and has semi auto transmission on bars as well, legs totally out of it.

Kid who bought my 250L 'totalled' it three days after his dad bought it for him, saw it at dealer, front forks bent under frame, frame neck cracked, looks like there is a car door out there with a big dent.

Son is going to get a 250L in Spring, needs a commuter as well as a 'play' bike as I am getting his son a 50cc beginner dirt bike, as when son was over watching his cousins you knew he felt left out. So now 'Dad' can chase as well. BTW I rode a 16 WR250 Dual Purpose as we were shopping, Yamaha is a 'dog' under steers and unstable at highway speed.

The track is down for year, as soon as I am up and running again going to deep till it and let it 'cure' during winter, and in spring we are going to rent a backhoe and get some work done, a banked corner or two, better whoops, a combo of vintage and modern, essentially a vintage but kids gotta learn track.

Good to hear from you.  Heal up and don't be a stranger.
