Anyone pick up a 450FX yet?

It is a great bike. I am coming off of a 2014 KTM 200 XC-W, scared about the weight but after today I am very pleased overall. Hard to really get a feel of the suspension but when paying attention it felt really good. Power is super sweet although I did not really get on it yet. Gearbox is nice and positive. Bars might be a bit low but that is an easy fix. Injection works great, response is immediate. Did not flame out. Lugged it low and no problems.

Can someone who owns a yz450fx verify how the breather line is ran. I want to re-route my breather line on my 2016 yz450f. It looks like on the yz450fx it runs from the valve cover to the air boot, but I'm not 100% sure....thanks

I'm going to have to take a little time before adding mods to this FX. If you were adding mods on priority, which order would you put these in?

All finished! Just put the hand guards on and now all that's left is the reckluse clutch which I already had from my wr450 and just waiting on a new clutch cover.

Also I'll have a reckluse left hand brake for sale I'm going with ox brake cable actuated this time

Nice.. I just received my Cycra Ultra Pro Bend hand guards today.  Kinda cool with the vent option, but pricey.   Are those the Ultra version?  .  I do like there Yamaha branded.

not sure what version, they were the more blue and less white of the 2 offered on Yamaha accessory site

I like the blue anodized aluminum bars. and FYI I found for a good fit I had to use the spacers and longer bolts on the front.

I also had to trim away the clutch cable holder part behind the number plate it was putting a lot of pressure there and made it hard to adjust the clutch cable length.

also forgot I installed the shock socks the guards rub on them pretty good so I don't know how long they will last but better than nothing and for the money they are a consumable part for all I am concerned.

hey we ride rabbit valley pretty frequently, my friends are in Denver and I am from the springs. we make GJ our winter destination about once a month through the winter. however your video makes it look a little more cold than normal! are those the current conditions?

would you be interested in joining our crew next time we go up? we will probably be riding out there first week of feb. and I need another blue bike to represent because all my friends ride KTM's!

Can you take a piece off the front, so you can have a vent for your hands if you wanted?   That is the other different in the Ultra and just pro bends.

Those are current conditions. Let me know about Feb....hopefully it will melt out by then.

Can you take a piece off the front, so you can have a vent for your hands if you wanted?   That is the other different in the Ultra and just pro bends.

the only peice that you can take off the front is the entire plastic guard leaving just an aluminum bar. not sure why you need a vent, its not like the guards eliminate airflow over the hands.

The EXP worked out pretty well in my '13 KX450 that's why I bring it up. I'm 6'1 235~ish so there was plenty of resistance on the clutch.
