Im 15 and 5'9 and currently have a 98 yz400f would an 03 450 be any better or worse I mostly do trails

Yeah my 400 is starting to get a little unreliable and just needing a better bike in general,my mate used to have a 05 450 and his was a bit hard to start,is that like it with all the early 450s or just my mates

If you use the hot start lever and your valves are in spec they aren't the worst bike to start. I remember my '03 definitely had the most abrupt and crazy bottom end torque but very reliable.
