Good morning Thumpers,

I need advice for adjusting my suspension.

I ride a 09 Yz450.

Suspension sag was adjusted correctly.

My problem nox is how to adjust the comp and rebound valves at my fork and in the back correctly.

What is stock setting ? How many clics in/out ?

Could someone post his number of cliks he preferes to ride ?

regards from germany

Suspension settings do not transfer well from one bike to another, because the oil wear and contamination differences changes the settings.

You can download a Service Manual from Yamaha's website, which will list the stock settings.

Another non-answer

Standard Euro settings for the '09 YZ450 were as follows:

Fork:

Rebound 12 out
Compression 12 out

Shock:

Rebound 8 out
LS Compression 9 out
HS Compression 1 1/2 turns out

Start by running each adjuster in ("down", tighter) clockwise until it seats gently, then count clicks/turns back out.
