drz400, no not wrong forum

Recommended Posts

I haven't ridden in a while. I got on a DRZ400 last week, and no offensne, but it felt like a truck compared to the other bikes I have ridden. I posted earlier trying to figure out if I would be happier on the wr250 or wr 426...I was looking at the dry weight of the drz vs. the 426 and saw they were fairly comperable, is my source correct? (bikez.com). I know that they aren't that similar in other areas, but I am just trying to figure out if the 426 is going to feel big and heavy to me. Also, is there a difference in weight between the 01 and 02 wr 426? I just don't want to sink $ into something and be frustrated in the woods. Thanks in advance, opinions wanted! Danny

I used to ride with three mates who had DRZ's. they were very nice bikes. But not fast not light and not that powerful. two were DRZ S's, One was a E.All full power British bikes. the e was the best but on rocky trails could not keep pace with my WR 400.

The group now consists of My WR 450,Gas-Gas FE 450,Husaberg 450, and last but by no means least DRZ 400 s.

Enough said ?

Like a truck is good, I would have said a Locomotive :D

Black and White when comparing the two bike. Funny thing I was actually looking at a KTM 625SXC, sticker price was incredible, then I looked at the specs 291lbs dry :D :D :D now I know why it is cheap ?
