Has anyone checked out DRD for the WetSump system for the 426s to save 3lbs. or the rear brake "piggy back" resevoir? I asked them if they have any interest in making clutch arms that will ease clutch pull.....any input guys?

hey dave, my DRD pipe is on the way. The stock system has had one too many crashes on it, and I'm getting tired of fixing it and repacking it too. Does the longer clutch are make a big difference???? Also, I saw that your had a question about a HEBO clutch system, I have the Maugura set-up, whats the difference????

Hey Brian, how is it going? Let me know about the DRD pipe & how you like it. I am thinking about buying it also. The longer clutch are is supposed to make clutch pull easier. I am not sure if it will be as easy as hydro clutch, but sure will be cheaper. The Hebo is supposed to be better at adjustment variances. You may want to post a thread on this subject. Mark, my tuner swears by them & I love the one on my WR. I just did not want to spend too much $ on my YZF as I will sell it when the 450 comes out, hopefully Oct-Dec this year. Are you coming up for SX Sat???? I busted up my ignition cover Sun at Copperhead - landed on a beginner - hope to fix for Sunday practice at Big Gun - new track in Toccoa, Ga. How is Fla life treating you?

Hey Dave, I will let you know what its like after this weekend. I won't be able to make it up for the race, but I'll definatley be at Daytona, if your gonna make it down, give me a shout.

No one got hurt in your little crash eh?, I just blew a head gasket, should have my bike back Friday. Pipe will be installed Friday night.

I've started racing again, finally getting into a decent shape, jumping rope and biking alot. Can't really do much running, knees arent being to friendly about that abuse. Later.

Oh yeah, My shock spring buckled also. It was a costly weekend all around. Which I thought was weird, but I may a few calls and found out its not that uncommon.

Why don't you just click on the ad at the top of the page? They have banner ads on all the Yami forums guys (if you don't see it, click your refresh button).

Hey Dave,
Finally got to ride my bike with the new Dr.D exhaust, it is really strong off the bottom, I could lug it alot more, even in deep sand. Up top, it really felt a little flat. Maybe just me, didnt ride all that great today, lots of other BS going on. I will get a full report to you later. On a good note, Travis Pastrana was at this track in Daytona with us, that kid is incredible, on the track and off. I was extremely impressed with his off track presence, we were pitted close to him, he stopped as he was walking by, shook all of our hands, and was genarally just very approchable, and we all know ALOT of the guys at that level arent. The thing I really noticed was he was talking to us, not at us. By the way, he was hauling some serious A#$, on a stock RM.

Hey Brian thanks for the report. Maybe in the deep sand you would lose a little off the top. I have one coming any day. Also just got on the list for a 03 blue450.
Did you get to ride while Pastrana was riding? That would be incredible to see his speed & try to match it even for a moment. I have heard that he is really personable...He was sick with the flu in Atlanta so his mom kept him away from the crowds in the pits. She also is very nice.
Take care of yourself & stay on 2-wheels, my friend...

Dave,
Yeah, he was on the track at the same time. I would just keep riding my pace, and watch him pass me, and pass me, and pass me, I'd start laughing because the corner speed was just sick, didnt matter whether it was flat, or a big berm. By the way, the RM had stock tires also, just goes to show you, it is the RIDER, 100%. Another thing that was pretty impressive was how low he stayed over every jump, for example, a 90 ft table top, I'm sure he was staying 5-6 ft lower than the local pros, it was awesome. Still can't say enough about his off track personality, he is the new ambassador in my book!!! You gonna make it down for the race????? Still got my number??
