TC08 450 kick start broken

Hey guys, went to go for a ride the other day, jumped on and snap, the kick start sheered off on the splined section just before it goes into the case.

I have searched around on the net and have found that it is/was quite common and that there was and upgrade for this fault.

Can anyone help where i can source the parts/kit to change this out?..

They had several up grades.

Just get the latest and keep your fingers crossed.

Best to find an E-start kit.

If you blip the throttle while kicking gaurenteed to break it.

George is correct, e-start is the way to go.

When I snapped mine my dealer sold me one off of an"O4"because they didnt have a problem till O5...I have an e start so i havnt had alot of the kicker but ive used it enough to know that kicking that bike is a whole sport in itself...A dangerous one at that..

Did it have a slight bent in the stop tab on the kick shaft?

If not NEVER USE IT.

The flat tab will slide past the stop and break both clutch cover and main case.
