Mountain road haulin the mail all is fine. Enter the woods, plough around at wlking speed and the engine develops a rpm-synchrone ting ting ting sound.

Whatsthat? Valve clearances getting so much larger that even the buddy idling  besides me hears that sound?

N.B: effect wers of with increased speed and decreasing woods work.  I'm worried. Anyone know that effect?

edit: this is not a knocking ping, happens most profundly at idle.

TIA
