How much air are you guys running front and rear for forest trails with roots and rocks and dirt ?

Depends on the tires, and tubes.

Stiff sidewalls run low psi, soft run high, unless it's designed for low (Trials).

 

As low as you possibly can, without getting pinch flats.

 

I run 8 rear and 13 front

I run mine at about 12 front and rear for the hills around here. How fast you are riding and weight (yours and the bike's) are things to consider.

12/12 almost always. I use UHD tubes either Bridgestone or Michelin. If I'm doing really soft sandy crap I'll run 10/10.
