Hey guys what's the average life you get out of your sprockets. ive seen a pattern of having to get new one every 2500km or 1550 miles. Mostly dirt riding

Get good steel sprockets and a good Xring chain.

Thats very fast.

 

Uset steel sprockets from Sustar, JT, or Ironman.

Are these brands of sprockets, or shops ?
What should the average life be of steel sprockets 70% road 30%dirt

Sprocket brands

 

You replace chain and sprockets AT THE SAME TIME.

 

Inspect the teeth to see if they are symetrically shaped. If they are not, they are wearing out your chain.

If there is any 'hook' to the tooth, it is no good.

Always buy similar quality for front, rear, and chain. 

Don't mix quality (like a cheap-o chain with the good sprocket)

 

DID VT-2 is the best chain, and will last 200+ hours if properly maintained, and you are not racing full time.
