Wouldn't it be better to use 50w in hotter climates?

What weight of oil is everyone running in their 16+?

What weight of oil is everyone running in their 16+?


Some of that is dependent on where you live temperature wise. The 16' shouldnt be any different than the other years.

I am in So. Cal. and run the un recommended Mobil 1 15/50 car oil.

For sure. I'm in TX. I ran the yamalube 40w in the bike since i purchased it in January. I recently switched over to 50w since its been so hot.

I'm not sure if my climate temperature requires switching back and fourth, or if sticking to one or the other is acceptable. Just looking out for longevity.
