You adjust the fuel screw for idle: the fuel screw should raise the idle to the desired rpm (or close, then fine tuned with the idle screw).

If you keep turning it out, the idle goes back down.

Your goal is to turn the fuel scrw out from 1.0 turns, to acheive optimum idle speed, and have it land between 1 and 2 turns out.

It will take a few times to understand how to balance idle and fuel screw to achieve this.

If you have to go less than 1.0 turns, your pilot is too big

More than 2.0 turns, it's too small.
