KTM may be getting bigger

That would be the way to sell a ton of them. Older guys would go nuts over them.

Older guys are a bunch of whining change averse p-u-s-s-i-e-s. If they need a Penton logo to go nuts they probably don't ride anymore anyway and probably sucked before their wives made em give up their dirt bikes 30+ f'ing years ago. ?

It certainly wouldn't hurt to have them dump their money no that they're at the age they can afford to spend back into the sport though

Agreed. But wish they would go buy right now there are lots of great bikes on the current market, orange alone has plenty of great choices. I am an old guy and I bought new blue last year and am damn happy. Besides electric start on a Penton just is not right... :ride:

The new CZ500AF is from Service CZ (Honda) is going to really upset you.

?? Was that called POS-CZ500AF or Chinese Honda??? ?? If we go back in time can't we go back to XR? Something that was actually good in its era... My xr4 is still one of my favorite bikes and it is 13 years old. :ride:

My 1999 XR400 will be in my garage when all other bikes are gone.

Chinese? CZs are from Czechoslovakia . Back in its time the CZ400 was a good bike. Roger DeCoster and Brad Lackey raced them. A fair number of them still are used for vintage racing. I was joking because an old CZ motor stuffed into an aluminum frame would be way beyond cheating, more of a statement.

+1. I was spoofing about Chinese.

Yo man you didn't think I knew what CZs are?? My uncle owned he said it wasn't all too easy to get parts for those beasts. And the Czechoslovakia of those days was more like China than the Czech republic of today. BTW didn't DeCoster ride the CZ500?

A teenage friend of mine raced one back in the 70s and was doing well. Then the Elsinore came out and he dumped the CZ like a fat chick being swapped for the prom queen. 8-)

I was thrilled when the YZ426 came out, the price of a new XR400 dropped about $400, which is what I wanted.

A friend use to go riding on his XR400 and have new YZ426Fs follow him. After lots of tight single track the 426s were puking steam.

Is use to have these XRs too: 80, 100, 200

I had your XR4's big brother for a long time. It was a beast of a desert DS bike but once I moved it was useless. The big XR650R's are damn good work horses and fun to ride.  I admit I miss it and wish I had it back.

An BRP XR650 being useless in Nevada doesn't seem right.

I Call the xr400, the piglette. Great bike unless I have to pick it up or go down a long steep hill.

I moved from NV. It did not play well in the tight woods so it just sat there with no place to go until I finally sold it.

A friend who is about 160lbs and a little nuts raced a 650R in NorCal D36.

You location says Nevada. I lived at Tahoe, Truckee, and outside Reno for 8 years. I miss it at times.

Just moved to SoCal. Time to find new areas.

Yeah, I miss NV, CA, UT and AZ. I'm east now and it's just not the same as the wide open spaced west coast.
