MSR Skid Plate

Bought the MSR skid plate for my 2014 DR650, is it any good? I figure it's just a sheet of metal...so what does it matter

Looks alright from what I can see in the pictures. I made my own from similar material, but a tad thicker as I use it often to rock on logs etc. Make sure you put some rubber between your frame and the skidplate. The sidewall of an old bicycle tire works good. You will be amazed at how much stuff it deflects off the bottom of your bike by the loud pinging of the aluminium, especially with dirt tires.
