Information I received showed the price to be $146.95 (USD), but a somes dealers will sell them for a few bucks less. I think there's a post on the board somewhere with someone claiming to have gotten one for around $90.

I have been watching that cam in hopes of being able to afford it. Thanks for letting the cat out of the bag! ? Now someone with more money than me, who can stay awake till the end will get my cam!

Oh well, I wasn't sure if I should go for the WR or YZ cam for my 1998 WR400 any way.

I honestly didn't even take that into consideration. ?

I am a Ebay surf junkie. I have only bought about 35 items on Ebay but surf ALL THE TIME!! You never know what you are going to find.

I've also been watching this forum (and Ebay) to see how high the price will go. If ANYONE pays more than $89 for this cam BRAND NEW IN THE BAG, then you are getting ripped off. World of Cycles is selling for $90 and I bought mine two weeks ago from Doug from Excel Yamaha Motorsports 303-274-0203 (ask for him), he will match the price for the '04 YZ450 cam at $89. When he picked the phone up, he said they go for $140, but like most stores, when I said that world of cycles is selling for $89, he said he'd match it (you should mention you heard this rumor on Thumpertalk though).

Dont buy one from Ebay (I love Ebay myself) 'cause like I said, this item is going for around $90 BRAND NEW with a guarantee from the dealer.

You might spend a few bones to get it shipped from the dealer, but they will be a TON more fair than the greedy bastards on Ebay.

No matter what price you pay for the cam, my PDF for the installation is free... and in fact, it makes me laugh how wide-spread that PDF file has become...

Thanks for that file BTW. ? Best part for me was the picture showing 14 pins between the cam punch marks. :D

What are you saying??? The sellers have nothing to do with the price escalation. One mans garbage is anothers treasure. heard that before? Ebay is a great place to get rid of takeoff parts, mistakes (ie dealers not taking back parts) and clearance buys. Dont call the sellers greedy, call the dealers! I know what dealer pricing is and I will tell you that they are dirt cheap dealer cost. Be sure to have a hookup at the dealer or call around and see who will pricematch for the best prices. This is true on all OEM parts -- cars, trucks, boats, bikes!
