Is anyone running Dunlop 756 Tires ?

Hey guys, I'm about to re-shoe my 450 for this coming season and was thinking about the Dunlop 756. Mainly because I get 33% off from the dealer I bought the bike from and that is what they are pushing now. List is $ 119.00 for the pair, less my discount.Even if the tires don't work out; for $80.00 mounted and balanced, I don't think I can go wrong. What have you guys had good luck with? i use them exclusively.i have decided on trying the 743 front.its a new tire specifically to compliment the 756 rear.

Got a rear 756 to replace my 739. Hooks up well, but does not seem to wear as well as my 739AT did. Heard great things about Maxxis IT. After looking at the 756 with only three rides on it, I think I will try something else next time.

The better the tire the faster it wears. 756 is good, but only for hard terain. On the soft grass it is very week. I prefere 754 as here is very muddy, but it wears much faster on the hard stuff. The front is excelent...

If you're going to do any eastern-style riding at all you should strongly consider an IRC VE-33 5.10 x 18 for the rear and a Bridgestone ED-11 or Michelin for up front. Unless you're going to ride on the motocross track or perfect dirt conditions out west then the Dunlop'g might be OK, but otherwise they don't wear well, hook up poorly when it is the least bit wet, and they are only a 4-ply tire. . . . My WR rides like it is on rails in the slick stuff!!! Some other guys in this forum have indicated that they are getting great results with the IRC as well!!

739 is a medium/hard.

The 773 is for soft,

So it would depend on what type of riding you are going to do. I can tell you that it is easier to ride a soft tire in hard terrain than hard tire in soft terrain.

Me and my buds are running them. they are better than the 739's which came stock. This is for wet conditions though.

Hey I rode in Idaho and now South dakota with all kinds of terrain (rocky,sand,mudd,clay etc.) my friends and I have tried all kinds of tires from bridgestone to perrelli. we have found Dunlop 739 has worked the best for traction and longevity!

If you ever ride on frozen or semi frozen ground consider this. I had a chance to compare my bike with a 756 rear to my buddy's with an S12 just before the snow flew. We both have M12s on the front. In the spots where there was some snow and ice the S12 stuck like glue where my 756 was sliding all over the place. Night and day difference and if anything the S12 had more wear than my 756.

Having said all that, the 756 is still a good tire for medium to soft terrain - just stay out of the snow.

You guys are awesome, thanks all for the great feedback. I believe I will try the 756 with the Michilin as a second choice. The wear issues stood out the most reading everyones' comments. My WR spins the rear like a SOB, or I just like spinning the SOB rear??? Either way, I'm just hard on tires,so why not just settle for what hooks up the best and just face the fact that I will buy a few tires..

Never ran a 756 rear, but 756 front is all I run. Hooks up sweet in the moist soft stuff and is decent in the rock. Here in Nor Cal we have a lot of rock and decomposed granite, so its a mix. 756 front is highly recommended. I have also almost exclusively ran the VE 33 IRC in the rear, and that tire works well year round in all conditions and has superior wear resistance. Another vote for 756 front, VE 33 rear.

good tires. they're my winter tire. they get sliced up when it's dry. side knobs will start to peel off the front if you run higher than normal pressure. at your price you can't go wrong. check out the 742 when it dries out a bit.

I run 756 all the time on the rear and most of the time in the rear I will change to a 739 front on hard pack and rocky areas.

I liked the M12's. On the front you can't go wrong. On the rear a had three side wall puncture flats from rocks. I switched back to the 756 rear and liked it allot. The wear isn't as good but it hooks in the mud and on the rocks.

Im not sure about 752 & 755.

But I am certain that 773 is soft and 756 is soft/medium.

you should be good up there as you have pretty decent terrain, soft conditions, but I rode one on hardpack/bluegrove and I could barely keep the front end from going away.

Similar to holeshot 426, I have also had great luck with a IRC VE33, but it was on my CR250. I also had a 739AT on it that seemed to wear better than the stock 739 that came with the WR. I suspect that might be to a bit more spining going on at the rear tire ? Was sold on the "756 is better in the wet" pitch when I bought them. Not sure that is true, but probably depends on yoru terrain.
