This will be the first year of racing my Yz426. I am about to stock up on front and rear sprockets and would like some advice on gearing.

1) What size front sprockets should I get and what conditions are best for each size?

2) What size rear sprockets should I get and what conditions are best for each size?

For most MX applications, I prefer to run stock gearing up front and a 50 tooth rear sprocket (stock is 49). On tracks with several long straightaways, I run a 49 on the rear.

I run 14 front 48 rear much less shifting required 2nd gear lasts forever.Try it.
