So I have a 2007 yz 450 and the rod itself isn't spinning freely on the crank. Is there anyway to fix this? Heating it? What causes it to seize and bind itself so tightly like it is.

You would either need a rod kit and have the crank rebuilt or get a crank kit.

The bearing and/or crank pin is damaged.  As said, you need to rebuild or replace the crank.
