Scored this GYTR clutch cover on ebay for $49 bucks.

But it does not fit :thumbsdn:

Description said GYT-5BE12-10-CF fits 98yz400 99yz400 and the 00-02 426.

Also came with a gasket that says will fit the 98-99 400 and 00-02 426

Here is the beautiful part in question. Picture to the right shows the issue (new gasket laid on stock clutch cover).... notice it is slightly too small....the carbon fiber cover is exactly the same....slightly too small. So  what bike does this go to?

In the first place, the listing is incorrect.  The '98-'99 YZ400 takes a 5BE-15415-00-00 cover with a 5BE-15453-00-00 gasket, while all the 426 models take a 5JG-15415-00-00 cover with a 5JG-15453-00-00 gasket, which is slightly larger.  The two do not interchange.   You appear to have a YZ400 cover.
