You did great man if a neighbor stops by and says you over paid its because there jealous you obviously worked very hard to get your new bike and take a lot of pride in the fact you were able to buy a shiny new bike and that's great don't let any one take that away some people don't like good things to happen to other people that's a sad way to live your life.

I'm not having a problem, I am just trying to find a balance in mapping for my style of riding and conditions which for the most part is desert and some single track. I'm lucky if I get out to the mx track 1-2 a year. I have a dt-1 filter with a yosh pipe which opens her up really nice but for the riding I do I like to richen up my fuel and contain some of the bottom hit. I also know that I'm trying to gain some top as these bikes are know for not having much up there by retarding the time some. It's just unfortunate that I ride, bring it home and tune, then have to wait to ride the new setting and the again bring it home and tune. So every time I've ridden it's been a new experience. On my 3rd map now and hope this one will be the one. Will see what happens.

You should buy a tuner and try some mxa maps that's what I did with my 14 I found a map I won't change it makes the bike run perfect for what I want.

Curios if you remember what map you ran when you had it, what mods and what type of riding conditions you rode in? Still a bit uncertain on mapping and just learning on my own as most maps seem to be very track driven, also it's hard to find any info on the 12-13 vs 10-11. It's my understanding they have different cdi's so it makes it a little difficult trusting the maps posted for the 10/11. It also seems like either the yzf forum doesn't have a lot of followers or if you don't have the latest bike you don't get as much support as others.

. No I don't know what map was in my 13 I rode farmland trails open areas a little bit of everything. If the maps from my 14 would work I have a killer map you wouldn't need another one it's power from top to bottom big time. I didn't keep my 13 long enough to get into it I traded a guy one of my bikes for it. I can tell you one thing it was a sweet bike. Mxa has to have a map for your bike if you google it.

Well if your going to send out the suspension I'm sure they will be able to get another housing. You should just send your forks and shock out to factory connection I had it on my 13 and have it on my 13 450 zuk the bikes are like caddilacs when their done with the suspension don't get down about it. Everyone makes mistakes.

That shock body looks like something that can be cleaned up with a thread file easily enough.  I don't see a reason to replace it from here.

Unfortunately no, I don't have that kind of money right now. I have filed the threads, ordered up a new preload collar and will be making a spacer to go up top to move the collar away from the affected area. Hope this bandaids the problem for now. Will be on the hunt for a new shock next year. I had made a spacer for the bottom but after more consideration I don't think it would be the right place for it, so going up top with it.
