Basically I want to know whats required to install these camshafts, ive read on motosport.com that you need to upgrade to a high compression piston?.

Do i need to upgrade any parts in the head? and also do i really need to upgrade my piston?

The 06 as I understand already had a pretty hot cam.

The GYTR cam is not that radical. I don't think it is as radical as a hot cam. I had a friend put one in a YZ 450 and said there was not much difference. So to put one in you would need to know how to do a valve adjustment job. The shims may change by a little when you put the new cam in and your valve adjustment should be checked in any case.

Ya putting them in isnt the problem im just concerned about other parts because ive heard guys talk about problems theyve had although i think just the 250's require some modification i just wanted to be sure i could do a straight swap.

I just did a GYTR head assembly and new piston and rings and camchain on my 08 and it pulls much harder and is very crisp from low rpm all the way up.
You will need to know how to do valve adjustments and set cam timing. I would do a new cam chain while your at it.
