You came into this world screaming and covered in blood, why not leave it the same way? Ha

Oh, I'm good then. At least in 4 weeks when I can get back on my bike. ;). Took care of a heredity issue.

I hope a six speed tranny makes it into the 450.

I would love to plate a new WR250F so I can get my buddies into riding.

I'm asking $6,800 OBO for my 2012 WR450 up here in Alberta where they sell for $9,800 new. Only had two bites on it and neither were serious.

It has 2,800 KM (1,740 Miles) and is in really good shape. I'm pealing my race numbers off and have already ordered a set of brand new tires costing me $180.00 to try and make her look a little cleaner.

It has a Z-start pro Rekluse, all engine mods that are mandatory and a few other parts for bling and durability.

Am I asking to much or is this bike a hard sell because of it having a reputation as being a heavy old bike.

I'm selling my 2013 for about 5,500. It has all the bells and whistles you could ask for ie. exhaust, ECU, skid plate, radiator braces, rekluse, extra set of plastic with graphics kit, ect. Currently it has about 1000 miles on it.

Great bike and worked well this season, but the darn thing is a bit heavy for me (I'm 6'2 180lbs) to throw around tight trails quickly. Probably going to go with the new 250FX or a 300.

New the retail price is $8,300 here in the US of A. I'm picking up a brand new one (with a license plate) for the price in that picture above.

Just giving you some perspective.

You'd make more money by parting out the accessories and selling the bike in as close to stock trim as possible. When you leave them on they don't increase the value to a buyer unless they HAVE TO HAVE IT.

Don't they use the Euro or something up in Canadia? If so, $6800 is likely a steal for a used WR race bike when you take into account the conversion to American money, which requires a calculator.

Our bikes are quite a bit more then down in the states, especially with how bad our dollar is right now. 1 canadian dollar equals 0.89 American cents.... You guys are probably right though $6,800 may be to much. I'll drop it to $6,300 and see what happens.

I think our WR is the same as yours, they are all plugged up stock.

You will have to check your price for your area. Bikes are always higher in Canada. There also may not be a big market for dirt bikes and sometimes people do not have cash so they buy a new one on payments.

I guess those 'we don't have rough terrain where we ride' finally shut up.

They never did even attempt to come down here and ride real terrain, not foo-foo little woodsey crap where you don't stand up or open the throttle all day. "oooh, Melvin, look out! Roots! "

Took my 350 out to Apple Valley last week and did 'flat' single track ( no hills or whoops of any speed at all). It works REALLY well, when you are not fighting the massive engine braking, funky forks and steep head angle.

In fact it worked much better than my WR or CRFX or CRFR could possible do.  We are talking 1st gear or less 180degree or more corners every 5 seconds or so. Fun stuff.

The problem is, I had to drive 3 hours to get to this 'virgin' territory, which meant 6 hours of driving for a 5 hour ride.

I'd rather ride messed up, rutted, whooped, over-ridden trials for 8 hours, and drive for 2.   That means a non-KTM bike, for me for most of my riding areas.

Robust, a little bigger, much faster, much better suspension, all for the cost of 10% more weight .

Just like my Weiner.

Last Saturday  When I finally determined the 350 EXC just isn't gonna be the all-in-one bike. It will have to make due as the KM, Sierra's, Big Bear, and Piutes bike. The WR will be the desert bike :ride:

Yeah, that's what I have determined.

If it's 'canyon singletrack' the KTM rocks.

If there are hills or sand, it doesn't.

We will have to do a WR to WR head-to-head when mine gets done.

The crank was fine, but forth gear and the output shaft bearing were not so fine.

Yeah, really like how easy the KTM is to manage in the slower, tight stuff. The easier power distribution along with the weight savings is great in the canyons and up in KM and in the Sierra's.

But the power deliver of the WR for hillclimbs is fantastic. Gonna give it a go tomorrow with the added benefit of a new 120 Desert IT ;)
