Please help identify part

 I have a '99 YZ400F that needs a part in the carb. Somehow I lost the screw that holds the float in place inside the carb. Not only did I lose the screw but I also can't remember if there was some type of bracket or something that held the float in place. In this picture it might be number 25 or 28... I'm not sure.

If you mean the screw that holds the float needle seat in place, that's number 25 in the  drawing.  There is no screw that secures the float itself.
