Tire Pressure for Rear Pilot Power 150/60

Guys,

 

I just switched out the rear tire on my SM for a pilot power 150/60-17.  

 

I know max pressure is 42psi but that is was too much.  

 

I was wondering what you all would recommend to run for air pressure in the rear?

I always stayed between 29-32 PSI depending on my riding style and ambient temps outside. But kept it at 30 for commute and worked great

Somewhere in the 24 to 28 psi range when cold should be best for the Pilot Power rear on a DRZ400sm. I've been running mine around 27-28 with good results. If it's not heating up enough due to colder weather then drop another psi or two, but I'd start between 26-28 psi cold and go from there.

I guess I like mines low. 20-22 psi. Maybe ill try increase it a bit.

It says 29 psi(without extra load/passanger) for rear and 25 psi for front on manual and rear fender... Why do you looking for max psi of tyre ??

Thanks for all the replies and into guys. I currently have it 29psi nut may drop it a pound or two with the colder weather as mentioned.

I just wanted to get some input on where to run this tire since its different than what came on the bike. Thanks again.

i always enjoyed a faster drop in when in the twistie's with the higher psi  less rolling resistance and quicker input.

I run my rear wheel at 2.2 bar/32 psi.
