It's funny how the site identifies Snowy as being closed due to the Grand Fire.  when the Grand Fire was nowhere close to Snowy

According to bnr and a few others I've talked to the gates open,may have to warp up there on the streetbike to make sure I guess. .gov's never wrong right.

The last 5 or so seasons I have checked and the gates at Kings have been closed every time. OTOH, a lot of guys here say they have been open. I guess it depends on when you go. My suggestion would be to call the Ranger station and ask before going. The website is a bit spotty and outdated. Talking to a live person will get you the most updated info on trail conditions and open/closed trails.

I'm going to take the cage up there Saturday to check the gate after work....if it's closed then Piru creek creek to Miller would be next up maybe other end of snowys open, or maybe I'll do the Piutes and string some shit together I'll keep everyone updated.
