Congrats, Nice 250 btw. I picked up a '15 red/white 450 today. It's going to be interesting to see how the bike works compared to trusty old '07 crf450. First time owning a Yamaha in a long long time. They were yellow when I had one.

I got it home today and took a couple of pics. My dealer said it best, "You just bought the best suspension period!"

Thank you! Congrats to you too! I take it you are an older vet rider like myself?

Yes sir, just out having fun in the Nevada desert. Ignore the stickers was measuring for graphics, but ironically it looks identical to yours lol.

Oh and by the way. Mine had 36 minutes on it so I got a great deal on it. Some guy bought in on Saturday and his wife made him take it back Monday. He put some weird gel on the tires, but I'm sure it'll all come off tomorrow.

Congrats the white ones are bad ass. Im really digging my 15' . I have it set up and working better than I expected. Motor is unreal I used a map posted on this forum and I really like it, once I got my suspension set up and played a little with sag and fork height its a great bike no complaints with turn in or holding in a rut. I went up a tooth and never use 2nd gear only 3rd and 4th and the motor is smooth with a lot of torque.
I went 7mm up in the clamps
105mm sag
axle as far back as possible (with a tooth bigger the stock chain is perfect)
and I run less hsc as usual.
Out of all the bikes ive owned this one is pushing in the top 2 I am really happy with it.
Good luck and enjoy her !

I've been on Suzuki for the last 4 years and really miss my Yamaha. I would like to hear more reviews. Do you guys find it to be thick in the middle and at the foot pegs. I really miss the set it and forget it suspension. I've had 2 revalves on my 2013 RMZ450 and finally bought a complete Factory Connection B-kit. All I have done for 40 hours is play with clickers etc. trying to get the bike to be acceptable. Please don't ask me what it does or doesn't do. It's simple: it doesn't feel an ounce like my Yamaha. I used to st that thing up according to MXA's settings and then just ride it anywhere. Boy do I miss that thing. The white one is amazing.

Might try a CRF since I work at a Honda dealership. I really want to be loyal to my employer but I just love the Yamaha.

I have an rmz250 and a 2015 yz450, and I can tell you that the Yamaha is an amazing bike... once you get it set up obviously. I personally didn't like the handlebar placement, got new bars. I also put heavier springs and valved the suspensions for my weight. I ride it more on the trails at the moment, I ride the rmz on the mx track but once my skill is high enough i'll switch to the Yamaha 450 for the track. The powerband is smooth on the yz, but with monster amounts of power. It takes a little getting used to the ergonomics with the gas cap hidden, etc, but it's overall a great bike.

Blue and Black All Day!

krony506^^

Cycra palstic.  Man, that made a difference in the bike running.  Sounded like the 2010-2013 though.  Noisy, but hell, it made it a more lively power plant with just that switch.  My 2014, but I will have a new 2015 at the end of November

I see your a vet and from PA,  krony506   Going to go to Switchback for any of the races???

Guys...how much more noise comes out of the cock pit on the Yz compared to the other brands? I know it's not as loud as previous models but is it still noticeably louder in the riders face due to the air filter location?

Would you happen to have a picture from the front of the bike?

This is what it looks like with DrD lowers (not worth the money, had 2 sets and made one. don't do a thing)  and the Cycra plastic
