Andrew DeLong and Husqvarna are leading 2014 National Enduro Championship and the last time Husqvarna lead the National Enduro Championships was way back in 1986.

Delong was first out following his win in Rd. 6 in Michigan and was optimistic that he might be able to land another win following his victory in Rd. 6 of the competition in Michigan. The weather was on his side but heavy growth over the entire course made it tough to be starting at the front of the field. 

Aided by ideal weather and a well-prepared Husqvarna FE 350, DeLong made quick work of the first few special tests scoring a pair of seconds and a third by a narrow margin. His results varied slightly throughout the remaining specials and a few mistakes took their toll.

 

"The Rd 6 win was a confidence builder for Andrew but starting first today (as a result of the win) adds pressure and made things more challenging," said Husqvarna team manager Andy Jefferson. "He broke trail for the rest of the guys and that's hard work." Jefferson went on to say that Andrew commented at the end of his race that he couldn't get back into the rhythm he had earlier in the day." 

 

"Even without a win, this was a pretty good day,” Jefferson added. “His third place finish puts him into the series points lead and with a trio of races left, it's going to be exciting!"

Are you saying it is not good for ktm ? One of their brands is leading the national enduro series and the bikes are based off of their platform. What are you reading into this ? You do sound kind of bitter though now that you mention it. If i was angry like you sound I would have written a letter to husqvarna/electrolux of Sweden they were the ones that started the whole thing by selling husky in the first place. This may hurt you to know but I have a ktm in my garage and have for years. I also have a husqvarna, kawasaki, suzuki, honda, & yamaha. Sorry for your problem.

say what you all want its an open forum , but this brand bs is getting old fast. 3 Husqvarnas in the top ten at a Nat enduro, 1 Yam, the rest KTMs. Husqvarna in P1 OA in the series.

We all have opinion diffs and I dont always agree with Rips,,, but Im with the HuskyRips opinion now, biased maybe because Ive sold all my Red Huskys and now have a (KTM product) Wht Husky.

My point is that until Husky has stand alone bikes, to use the KTM platform and tout the "Husky" is phony. Anyone following the NEPG series is informed enough to know and understand the transition and really doesn't like to be insulted with a bogus ad campaign. It really serves no purpose.

I doubt that will ever happen. Sharing platforms and R & D technology is the business strategy. Using the Husky brand is pure marketing.

It is what it is. Ride whatever ya like and leave the brand loyalty for the historians.

all those world enduro championship winning 2T huskys from the 1987+ Italian era were all Cagivas so that negates many Husky championships........also that AMA SX win was on a Cagiva with husky stickers....

Stop. just acting as part of the problem not solution..... back to the new Wht Husky praises (KTM brand aside)
