Please help electrical

Hey guys just got a head light for my 2012 yz450 only draws 3w so should have no problem running it but when I turn it on after the bike is running it just flickers and the bike stalls I have gone over the wiring even bypassed the switch still same problem I have directly wired it to the bike and still same problem any ideas

Have you installed a regulator?

The bike already has a regulator/rectifier.

i got the baja desighns harness and I plugged it in right behing the right radiator it looked like the right place because it had the same connecter as the harness and it was also roughly in the area the sheet baja desighns said it would be.

In that case, I think I'd contact BD about the matter, unless someone here has some input/experience with the stuff.

I hooked up where I thought the harness from baja desighns told me to behind the right radiator the only place I see the same connectors that are on the baja desighns harness. The light flickers and the bike dies almost right away.

It's almost like my bike isn't generating as much electricity as it should and the light is zapping enough to kill the bike.

Ok it's the poly sport hmx light and baja desighns harness but I direct wired the light And still had the same problem so in my not not so great electric opinion that eliminates the harness and I also hooked the light up some where else before I put it on the bike just to see how bright it was and it worked fine.

Try powering the headlight off of a known good source such as your car battery. If it still flickers you've found your problem.

already did that before I hooked it up unless it went bad while hooking it up it works fine.
