Hey guys....I've got an 06 wr450. Just had the top and bottom end rebuilt. Fired it up about a week ago and it makes more noise than it did before the rebuild. Is that normal? Was going to take it out tomorrow but with all the clatter.....I'm a bit nervous!!

if your valves were zero'd out before and they have proper clearance now, then they will be louder.  OR something could have been done wrong and it's going to explode.  Hard to tell over the forums.

Define 'rebuilt'......

Have you done the oil pressure check using the test bolt

Rebuilt as in new crank bearings, pin, connecting rod, piston, rings, and pin. I loosened the bolt and waited to oil flowed out but didn't actually check the pressure

So no cam chain, chain tensioner, or anything in the head ??

Yes...new can chain. Everything in head was fine. Valves were in spec and didn't require reshimming
